_______________________________________________
Trevor Druery started learning pottery in 2008 at the Bribie Island Potters working together group, concentrating on sculpting, and now progressing to wheel work. He started drawing and painting in 2010 and was tutored privately by Darla Boyd in Caboolture. He enjoys all mediums and likes to contrast Realism with either impressionistic or semi abstract elements.
Lesley Shelley has always had a keen interest in figurative work. She started drawing portraits as a child. Lesley has won some local and regional awards for her figurative work, and is represented in the Moreton Bay Art Collection. Lesley paints in oils, pastels and charcoal, and prefers to paint from life where possible. Her favourite subjects are portraits and still life, which she will be exhibiting in the 'TLC' Exhibition.
In Cheryl Mortimer’s art practice, she likes to explore the chemistry of resist, the happen-stance of shape and colour, and amongst other things, the interplay of mediums. She has a fascination with printmaking, especially the more spontaneous technique of mono printing. Mostly her work reflects landscape.
Lesley will be at The Art Centre on Wednesday 12th April, drawing pencil portraits for school age children or adults @$10 p.p.....all proceeds going to support Bribie Island Community Art Centre.
She will be there from 10am to 12 pm, and 1pm to 3 pm..
