Jude Nudes Event - Bribie Arts Centre
Exhibits must be ready to display/hang. ONLY USE D hooks and framing wire strung tightly, or cord with D hooks placed 1/3 of the way from the top.
(DO NOT use single strand wire, twine, staples, wool or fishing line). Weight limit 10 kg. Resin works; need to have wired hooks 10cm from top because of their weight. 3D – discuss acceptability if heavy.
2.Each work MUST BE CLEARLY LABELLED at the back bottom left of painting with Artist’s name (must be same as BICAS Membership Name), Title of Work, Medium and Selling Price, which also matches the stock list you have provided.
3.Any artworks which require the use of 240V electricity, e.g., lamps, must be tested and tagged before delivery.
4.Any works that are a set/group or series are regarded as one entry and must be sold as a group.
5. WORKS MUST BE FOR SALE. Commission on Sales is 28%. **GST applied if Artist is GST Registered.
6. Work/s must be received by 1:00PM on SUNDAY 26 May 2024.
7. Work/s must be collected by 1:00PM on SUNDAY 16 June 2024. After 6 months, uncollected works become the property of the Bribie Island Community Arts Society and may be offered for sale.
8.Exhibitors accept responsibility for freight and other charges incurred in the delivery or return of an entry. Return details need to be advised separately to the organiser before the exhibition.
9.The Committee reserves the right to reject unsuitably prepared works including wet, dangerous or delicate works and to not hang work deemed, to be damaged, inappropriate or in bad taste.
10.Artists will be responsible for satisfying copyright requirements, should they have reproduced from any printed or other material – ref Copyright Act and all amendments.
11.WHILE ALL CARE IS TAKEN, EXHIBITORS ARE REMINDED THAT BICAS DOES NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE OF WORKS.
12.INSURANCE OF WORK IS THE ARTIST’S RESPONSIBILITY.
13.Publicity will be arranged for the ‘Just Nudes’ Art Exhibition and all artists consent to reproductions of their work being used for these purposes.
14.Please carefully check details on entry form AS NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE AFTER ENTRY FORM RECEIVED.
15. We welcome all forms of creative expression on your interpretation of the Human form of NUDES in ANY MEDIUM EXCEPT VIDEO ART and AI. (Note: There must be some quantity of NUDE in your Art Work as per our theme ‘JUST NUDES..’ how much is up to you as the Artist).
16.An artist who wishes to display artwork that includes anything to do with actual parts of native flora and fauna
Must have contacted the Queensland Department of Environment and Heritage before entering the artwork for
display at the Bribie Island Community Arts Centre.
17. The Gallery provides labels and barcodes for your work, no other descriptive details will be displayed – however, you may wish to submit an Artist Statement (no more than A4 size) for our Gallery Display Book.
18. Magnets, Jewellery or cards – Please attach list of items.
