Sun. December 4th, 9am – 3pm.
Shibori is the Japanese term for twist, turn or press. It offers an infinite variety of design options for fabrics. This class covers a demonstration of setting up & caring for the Indigo Vat. Participants will learn basic shibori techniques of Arashi, Bomaki, Itajime, binding & wrapping, and an introduction to basic stitching, such as
Mokume, Maki-Age, Guntai & Ori-Nui. You’ll also learn the best paper techniques.
