ISLAND QUILTERS
ENJOY A WIDE RANGE OF NEEDLE CRAFTS & THE ART OF PATCHWORK AND QUILTING.
This happy group was started with a handful of ladies 30 years ago and at present around 65 members enjoy the company and productivity of our weekly meetings in Studio 3.
Although we are mainly a quilting group, our members excel in all avenues of needlecraft including embroidery, candlewicking, knitting, crochet and crossstitch.
Our members enjoy a wide range of needle crafts but our main focus is to encourage and enjoy the art of patchwork and quilting. Apart from the friendly social aspect of our meetings, and quilting for our own pleasure, we use our skills to raise funds for local charities, donating thousands of dollars each year to support causes such as Sunshine Linus and the local ambulance committee.
We also make quilts for disaster relief and for multiple local hospital/charity.
New members are always welcome, and if they need help or advice with a project, there is always a willing mentor.

Annual membership fee is $20. Weekly attendance fee is $4 including a morning tea.
